Educator.
Associate Professor of Music at the University of Michigan, teaching in the BFA Musical Theatre program and co-designer of the school's minor in Musical Theatre Composition. Each year he writes the arrangements and music directs the Senior Showcase in New York - the moment a class of performers meets the industry.

Creator.
Arranger, orchestrator, and originator of new work. Currently building Extraction to Extinction, a theatrical cantata featuring the songwriting of Nick Spear. It is a seven-movement dramatic cantata: six actor-vocalists, an electric band set in front of a full orchestra, with over a hundred years of American resources running underneath it.

The people Jason trains enter a field that no longer ends at the proscenium. His mentorship has guided careers that move between stage, film and television, voice acting, and digital platforms where a new generation of performers build their own following and bespoke technologies.
